Ahmad Hammouda is the Co-Founder & CEO of Thndr, a digital investment platform that is designed to simplify investing. Founded in 2020, the application’s mission is to make it easier for every individual in the Arab world to generate wealth and have a better future.
Prior to establishing his own business, Hammouda joined Uber in 2017 and no sooner was promoted to the position of Uber Egypt General Manager, leveraging his leading personal skills at a young age. Before that, he worked in investment banking for 8 years.
Followed by his passion and interest in making a change in the investment scene in Egypt and the region, and offering new horizons for the youth to inculcate through state-of-the-art, innovative techniques, the 34 years old entrepreneur created a brand that represents the agent of change.
Hammouda named the app with “Thndr” to convey its speedy nature when it comes to investing, drawing inspiration from lightning’s swift energy – a symbol of unparalleled speed.
As the son of two medical doctors, Hammouda inherited from his parents the desire of adding a real value to his community with new innovative techniques, the thing that pushed him to leave his comfort zone and consider establishing his own business.
Hammouda graduated from the American University in Cairo, with a bachelor degree of Business Administration with major finance, and minor economics.
Moreover, he studied most of the finance courses of The John Molson School of Business in Canada. Motivated by his passion for learning and enriching his knowledge, Hammouda acquired his CFA in 2011.
